Creating your own Matching Game is a great activity for the whole family! Watch our DIY video or read the entire step-by-step guide in this blog post. Create your own labels <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by creating your own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.ie\/photo-gifts\/stickers\">round labels<\/a> online at smartphoto.ie. When you order our round labels you get 24 different stickers with two copies of each image (i.e., a total of 48 stickers). Which is perfect, because that\u2019s exactly what you need to create a photo Matching Game! Then you decide how hard you want your game to be. The more game pieces you have, the more difficult it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2020\/04\/Bild-3.jpg\" alt=\"Matching game with photo\" class=\"wp-image-922\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> 2. Prepare your wooden discs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2020\/04\/Bild-7-small.jpg\" alt=\"Matching game with photo\" class=\"wp-image-923 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>We used wooden discs with one rounded side. Start by turning all your discs flat-side-up. It is on this side that you attach your labels.<br><br>If you want to make them eye-catching, you can paint them any colour you like. Just make sure they\u2019re all exactly that same. Otherwise, it will be a very easy Matching Game! <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Apply your photo labels <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2020\/04\/Bild-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-924\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, you just attach your labels to the wooden discs. The labels come in sheets. You simply peel them from the sheet and stick them to your wooden discs. This is a fun step for the kids to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Varnish them and they\u2019ll last longer! <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applying a quick coat of  varnish\/PVA glue or similar over your labels will help them last longer and resist moisture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2020\/04\/Bild-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-925\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Store your game in a custom-designed tin <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Another great tip is to decorate a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.ie\/photo-gifts\/tin-storage-box\">tin storage box<\/a>  and use it as a beautiful storage box for your home-made game. Choose text or a photo for the lid of your tin. You\u2019ll find lots of great templates at Smartphoto.co.uk.<br><br>Now it\u2019s time to play!
