Make your own photo jigsaw puzzle!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>There are many things you can put in your calendar, and not only will it provide a surprise every day, but it will also be a joint activity where you build up the puzzle every day right up until Christmas. Choose how many pieces you want based on who will receive your Advent calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Smartphoto, you can have 24 up to a whopping 1000 pieces. For example, &#8220;Merry Christmas!&#8221; or &#8220;We love you&#8221;. You can also decorate the bags and keep them in order by creating stickers. Here, we\u2019we done half the work for you! Smartphoto\u2019s graphic designer Lisa has designed a fitting template to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto-media.com\/nordics\/blog\/stickers.zip\">download<\/a> completely free of charge! Download them to your computer, go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.ie\/photo-gifts\/stickers\">round stickers<\/a> product page,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.se\/produkter\/designselection.aspx?pcg=fun_ideas.stickerslabels&amp;p=stickers&amp;cpc=stickers&amp;cppn=roundstickersmall_photoonly\"><\/a> and upload your numbers directly into Smartphoto\u2019s editor. The stickers are super-stylish and easy to attach to the bags.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Decorate your gift bags<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Then, it&#8217;s time to start decorating your gift bags. Your imagination is the limit!. We used a selection of Christmassy tapes with spruce twigs, hearts, and small birds. Then, we used metallic marker pens to draw snowflakes, hearts, and dots on them. We made each bag unique, but also made sure that they harmonized with each other. How many pieces you put in each bag is determined by how many pieces are in your puzzle. Here, you can also decide the difficulty of your Advent puzzle. Should the pieces of the puzzle in each bag fit the same area or are they random? You could also put little presents in some bags as an extra surprise. Maybe a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.ie\/photo-gifts\/keychain-hanger\">key ring<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.ie\/photo-gifts\/magnets-overview\">fridge magnet<\/a>, or a Christmassy message.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Hang up your bags and create a beautiful wall decoration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/pase-hanger_720x360.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1992\" srcset=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/pase-hanger_720x360.jpg 720w, https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/pase-hanger_720x360-350x175.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you have your bags filled and ready, it&#8217;s time to hang them all together as an Advent calendar. There are several ways to do this. We used one of our 60-cm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartphoto.ie\/photo-frames-gift-boxes-accessories\/magnetic-poster-frame-hanger\">poster hangers<\/a>, but you could make it extra seasonal and rustic by using a suitable tree branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started by attaching four rows of hemp twine and then attached the bags using the mini clothes-pegs. It\u2019s a good idea to secure the peg to the twine with a blob of hot glue, too. This also makes it easier to get the bags to hang straight. To get the right length of string, we laid out our finished bags on the floor at a distance we thought looked right. Then just decorate to your heart\u2019s content! We wanted our Advent calendar to be quite stylish, so we attached some spruce twigs and silk ribbon rosettes to the hemp cord. That\u2019s all there is to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Puzzle all the way to Christmas!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"360\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/box.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1993 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/box.jpg 360w, https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/box-350x350.jpg 350w, https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/smartphoto-express-production-wp-blogs-com\/18\/2021\/10\/box-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>That\u2019s how easy it is to make your own unique and fun Advent calendar. There\u2019s plenty of room for variation, too. Don&#8217;t want bags? Then, all that\u2019s left to do is surprise the kids (or their grandparents!) with their amazing advent calendar!
